In Italy, the mandatory inspection for N1 vehicles requires a first check to be carried out within the six months preceding the 4th anniversary of first registration. After the first check, the inspection must be repeated every two years.

In Italy, for N2 vehicles (intended for the transport of goods with a mass > 3.5 t and ≤ 12 t) and for N3 vehicles (intended for the transport of goods with a mass > 12 t), the first mandatory inspection must be carried out within 12 months from the date of first registration. Subsequent inspections must be carried out every year, always within the month of expiry. Please note that the inspection is the responsibility of the customer.

Packages and services

This depends on the type of package selected. It is possible to request a modification of the service package by writing to info@gatemobility.com.

No, but you can add a complete charging solution to your plan, which will include the purchase of the charging station, maintenance software, and after-sales support. You will be able to pay for the service monthly together with your rental installment.

Yes, depending on the type of offer selected. The only excluded cost is related to vehicle charging via the GATE eCharge Card, which will be paid based on actual consumption (the price of energy will depend on market conditions and the energy supplier’s offer).

Private charging

The owner is the operator of the charging station and can therefore decide who is granted access.

Among the services offered by GATE, in addition to the sale of charging stations, there is the possibility to benefit from installation services carried out by our dedicated partners. Upon request, following a site inspection, a quote for installation work will be provided.

If you are interested in purchasing and installing a charging station at your company, GATE will be happy to provide consultation and a cost estimate following a site visit by one of our certified representatives.

Yes, thanks to the software that comes with the charging station, you can observe its consumption and usage over time; you can also turn the station on or off as needed.

The price of energy will depend on the existing supply contract.

The number and type of charging stations (AC or DC) depends on several factors, such as the time available for charging, the vehicle’s battery capacity, and the number of kilometers driven during the day.

It is possible to install both so-called “quick” solutions in alternating current (AC) and “fast” charging stations in direct current (DC). Our GATE consultants will provide the best solutions based on your needs.

Public charging

On the IVECO ON portal, you can view a map of all charging stations belonging to the GATE network. In addition, you can view all the information conveniently on your smartphone by downloading the “Easy” app dedicated to your vehicle.

RFID stands for “Radio-Frequency Identification” and refers to an automatic identification technology. Thanks to the chip on the GATE eCharge card, you simply need to hold the card close to the plate on the charging station—marked with a specific symbol—to activate the station and start charging.

On the IVECO ON portal, each charging station is displayed with detailed pricing per kWh and service costs. You can also access all the information conveniently on your smartphone by downloading the “Easy” app dedicated to your vehicle.

Charging can be started using the GATE eCharge card equipped with an RFID device (Radio-Frequency Identification), which enables immediate activation of the charging station simply by passing the card over the dedicated recognition sensor.

Charging can be stopped at any time, even if the vehicle battery is not fully charged. To stop charging, unlock the station by passing the GATE eCharge card over the RFID sensor. If you are charging in AC (alternating current), it is good practice to first remove the cable from the charging station and then from the vehicle. If you are charging in DC (direct current), after stopping the charging, you can remove the cable from the vehicle.

Charging time varies as it depends on several factors, including the specific characteristics of the vehicle, the battery it is equipped with (capacity expressed in kWh), and the power of the charging station.

Yes, it is possible. The vehicle will only draw the power it is able to handle. We recommend consulting your vehicle’s user manual to verify its technical specifications.

Charging time depends on multiple factors, including the kW power of the charging point, the maximum power accepted by the on-board charger, the type of cable used, the battery capacity, and the vehicle’s state of charge. Furthermore, charging speed decreases as the battery approaches 100%. However, an approximate charging time can be estimated by dividing the battery capacity by the charging power.

Digital Tools

IVECO ON is the IVECO portal for digital services that provides a simplified and aggregated view of vehicles and fleets. It also allows monitoring of vehicle performance and status.

myGATE is an app available on the App Store and Google Play that allows customers to easily manage contracts, invoices, documents, and mileage data.

Fees and payment

GATE offers rental contracts with a minimum duration of 3 years and a maximum duration of 7 years (depending on the type of vehicle selected, the maximum duration may be shorter), with a minimum annual mileage estimated by the customer based on their needs.

The Pay-per-Use formula is used by GATE to determine the rental fee, which includes the related services. This amount takes into account a number of variable parameters, including: the intended use and usage conditions of the vehicle, the average speed at which it will be driven, the minimum mileage required by the customer, the contract duration, the service package, and the vehicle characteristics.

Yes, the Pay-per-Use formula applies to all vehicles in the GATE portfolio equipped with a telematics device that enables access to telematics services.

According to current regulations, the payment of the vehicle tax is the responsibility of the customer, unless specific national or local exemptions apply to electric vehicles. In any case, GATE offers a service for managing the payment of the vehicle tax on behalf of the customer. For more information, please contact info@gatemobility.com.

Each municipality has its own regulations. Please check the relevant municipal websites and, if required, obtain the necessary permit.
